G'day! I'm a Japan-based international relations scholar and university faculty member of over two decades. I also work in Japanese cultural diplomacy and promotion capacities, and have translated documents for government ministers, interpreted for Olympic medalists, and appeared in prime-time TV talk shows.

Originally from Australia, I work as a bilingual lecturer at Tokyo University of Economics, with previous posts including Ritsumeikan University, Nanzan University, Chukyo University and Tokyo University of Science. ​

My academic research focuses on Japan's cultural policy and diplomacy. I also have special expertise in various forms of Japanese traditional culture.
