G'day! I'm an Australian expat and full-time lecturer of interpreting and translation studies at Tokyo University of Economics in Japan, with previous posts including Ritsumeikan University, Nanzan University, Chukyo University and Tokyo University of Science.

 

I also serve as an interpreter at academic conferences such as the International Seminar of Budo Culture and the Japanese Budo Academy's International Budo Conference, as well as sporting events such as the Grand Slam Tokyo International Judo Tournament and the All-Japan JKA Karate Championship, while translating books and publications from Japanese for Bunkasha International and the Nippon Budokan Foundation.

I have appeared in prime-time TV talk shows offering commentary on social issues in Japanese and serve as a bilingual public speaker giving lectures on comparative culture and intercultural communication.
